TDOC Investigating Staff Homicide at MCCX
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Department of Correction is investigating the homicide of a correctional officer at the Morgan County Correctional Complex that occurred on Tuesday, February 24. The inmate responsible has been identified, and the facility has been placed on lockdown. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
This is a heartbreaking moment for our department and for the entire TDOC family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the officer's family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.
