Standards for Protections Against Radiation - Public Comment Period

The Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) will hold a public hearing on adding rules at 290 IAC 3 concerning the establishmnet of the radioactive materials control program and assuming regulatory authority over radioactive materials from the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The purpose of this hearing is to recieve comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by IDHS. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed new rules.

If IDHS does not recieve substantive comments during the public comment period or public hearing, the rule may be adopted with text that is thesame as or does not substantially differ from the proposed rule.
