Tom Tiffany Joined Podcast Hosted By Extremist Who Said Hitler Had "Actually Done Some Good Things"
New reporting from the Forward reveals that Congressman Tom Tiffany appeared on a podcast hosted by a far-right extremist who has used his platform to share "antisemitic remarks and jokes about Adolf Hitler."
Host Jeremy Hambly, whose podcast Congressman Tiffany joined in December, has "joked with guests about the Holocaust by calling it the 'Hall of Cost' and saying it cost 'around 6 million bucks,' and defended a 'Camp Auschwitz' T-shirt worn during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot." In 2023, the Forward reports, Hambly's podcast "was sponsored by a white nationalist publisher that marked Hitler's birthday each year by offering discounts on books written by and about the Nazi leader."
Congressman Tiffany's appearance on Hambly's podcast is far from the first time he has aligned himself with extremists pushing disgusting and dangerous views. Earlier this year, Tiffany refused to condemn talk radio host Dan O'Donnell's call for the assassination of Governor Tim Walz, and he has referred to the violent January 6 rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol and killed police officers as "victims" who should "receive compensation."
"Congressman Tom Tiffany's decision to embrace an outspoken antisemite who thinks the Holocaust is a punchline and that Adolf Hitler had 'done some good things' is sickening and makes Jewish Wisconsinites less safe," said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "Congressman Tiffany must apologize immediately to Wisconsinites for once again aligning himself with dangerous extremists pushing appalling views."
