HAMBURG, Germany - August 27, 2026 - Dyneema®, owned by Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, will exhibit at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg from September 1-4, 2026, sharing its portfolio of advanced fiber grades used in high-performance mooring lines and offshore marine applications. At this year's event, Dyneema® will introduce its latest fiber grade to the maritime industry: Dyneema® SK80 fiber. Engineered at the polymer level, it delivers at least twice the durability and fatigue resistance of Dyneema® SK78 fiber in demanding mooring applications. As a result, Dyneema® SK80 fiber provides even greater reliability in the most challenging marine conditions.

Built on a strong legacy of fiber innovation

For more than 20 years, Dyneema® SK78 fiber has been used in the core of the strongest, lightest, and most durable HMPE mooring ropes on the market. Now, following market feedback and years of rigorous in-house research, development, and testing, Dyneema® SK80 fiber builds on the proven performance of its predecessor, delivering at least twice the durability and fatigue resistance in demanding mooring applications.
