Body of Former Banker Abraham Mabor Mathiang Laid to Rest in Aluakluak

Juba, July 24, 2025- The body of the late Abraham Mabor Mathiang, former Deputy Director of the Bank of South Sudan (Yei Branch), was seen off at Juba International Airport on Tuesday by the Bank's First Deputy Governor, Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya, along with senior officials and family members.

From Juba, the body was transported to Yirol town, then onward to Aluakluak, his hometown, where he was laid to rest in a solemn ceremony.

The burial was attended by thousands, including national Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Beec George, Lakes State government officials, relatives, and community members.

Abraham Mabor Mathiang was a distinguished banker and policy maker who dedicated his life to public service and strengthening South Sudan's financial sector. His leadership and contributions left a lasting legacy.

Late Abraham Mabor Mathiang was born on June 20, 1982, and passed away on July 15, 2025.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
