PANGKALPINANG -- Commission XI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) conducted a working visit to PT TIMAH Tbk to obtain a firsthand overview of the company's operational performance and its contribution to state revenue.
The visit of Commission XI DPR RI, led by Chairman of Commission XI Mukhamad Misbakhun and accompanied by Senior Vice President of Danantara David Ber Utomo and Vice President of Danantara Casta Calista, was received directly by the Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk, Harry Budi Sidharta, and the Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT TIMAH Tbk, Fina Eliani, at Griya Timah on Saturday (12/13/2025).
Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI Mukhamad Misbakhun stated that the working visit aimed to assess PT TIMAH Tbk's contribution to the state, particularly in the form of taxes and royalties, in line with the recess theme "The Contribution of Natural Resources to Community Prosperity in the Regions."
"Commission XI is carrying out a recess to evaluate how natural resource producing regions benefit their communities. We also want to understand the extent of PT TIMAH Tbk's benefits and contributions to the state and surrounding communities. Today, we received an explanation from PT TIMAH Tbk showing that the company has taken extraordinarily strategic steps to increase its contribution to society, as well as to carry out state mandates assigned to PT TIMAH Tbk," he said.
According to him, PT TIMAH Tbk faces several challenges that must be addressed promptly so that the company can provide even more optimal contributions to community welfare.
"PT TIMAH Tbk has a strategic role, and its contributions are quite tangible to the community, both socially and through post-mining land rehabilitation efforts, ensuring that mining activities are carried out responsibly. However, PT TIMAH Tbk still faces operational challenges," he added.
Meanwhile, the Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk, Harry, presented an overview of the company's business processes, from exploration through post-mining activities, including challenges related to overlapping land use with other companies' Mining Business Permits (IUP).
"PT TIMAH Tbk continues to intensify exploration to increase the company's tin resources and reserves. PT TIMAH Tbk holds 80 percent of tin mining permits in Bangka Belitung, but some of these permits overlap with other sectors. Therefore, we continue to seek solutions to these issues so that the company's permits can be optimized," he explained.
On this occasion, he also expressed appreciation for the visit of Commission XI DPR RI to PT TIMAH Tbk and requested support so that the company can further improve its performance and provide more optimal contributions to the state and the community.
