Des Moines, Iowa- Tuesday, December 2, 2025 - City Source, the City of Des Moines' quarterly publication, is back with a refreshed, digital-only format designed to keep residents informed, engaged and connected with their local government. While last year's budget cuts reduced the print edition and mailing to a larger, single issue per year, the new online version offers the same content with added convenience and enhanced features.
Moving City Source fully online allows readers to access stories in a more dynamic way as articles now include clickable hyperlinks, making it easier to explore related resources and City services. Several features also incorporate video links, giving residents an opportunity to dive deeper into the topics that matter most to them and experience stories in different formats.
The winter edition highlights a wide range of content, from the transformative impact of the Improving Our Neighborhoods program on one resident's home to practical reminders on preventing heating-related fires during the colder months.
Readers will also find a helpful refresher on the City's snow removal operations and an introduction to Des Moines Public Library Director Melissa McCollum. Additional stories, updates and resources round out the issue, providing residents with information they can use throughout the season.
