The new Patou collection from Artistic director Guillaume Henry presented Palais de Tokyo unfolded like a musical score.
Each silhouette expressed both its distinctive personality and contribution to the choral harmony. With no hierarchy between day and evening, the new wardrobe is fluid, urban and continuous.
Like a celebratory procession, the looks carried their own melody as the collection composed a symphony. The Patoupalette draws inspirations from pigments and stained glass, with rich luminous hues that interact and contrast with darker shades. Smock dresses create artistic collages. Unexpected yet balanced color block combinations play with material textures. Lace joins cotton for guipure dresses that stand with velvet sneakers and leather boots, underscoring the musical theme of the collection.
Traditional leopard and check prints play alongside medieval influences, echoing Patou's mischievous spirit. Skirts flare to gracefully swirl while roomy blousons envelop the body. Floral embroidery, jewelry in the shape of instruments, jingling bells and reimagined berets all contribute to the melodious poetry of the collection.
