Graycliff Announces Diamond Chemical's Acquisition of WeChem

Graycliff Partners LP announced today that its portfolio company, Diamond Chemical Company, LLC ("Diamond"), has acquired WeChem, Inc. ("WeChem"). Diamond, a manufacturer of commercial and institutional soaps, detergents, and warewash products, will broaden its specialty and industrial cleaning platform through the acquisition and extend its manufacturing footprint into the Gulf South.

Diamond, headquartered in East Rutherford, NJ, serves hospitality, food service, commercial laundry, and other institutional and industrial end markets. Founded in 1930, Diamond produces over four million pounds of product weekly from facilities on both coasts and in the Midwest, serving more than 1,000 customers across laundry, warewash, housekeeping, floor care, sanitizing, and pool care applications.

WeChem, based in Harahan, LA, is a specialty chemical manufacturer serving industrial, commercial, and MRO end markets, including utilities, petrochemical, and marine customers. Founded in 1972, WeChem manufactures a broad line of cleaners, degreasers, disinfectants, sanitizers, and specialty aerosol products, backed by in-house R&D and recognized product brands including Booyah Clean® and The Hulk System®.
