Update: Overnight Closures Scheduled for Posey Tube Due to Maintenance Operations

Alameda County - Due to maintenance operations and to ensure the safety of the crews and the public, Caltrans will implement the following closures in the Posey Tunnel ( Alameda-Oakland).

Caltrans understands that there is never a good time to close a state highways, due to weather conditions, work had to be reschuedled to the available windows to ensure safe operations and complete separate operations prior to the start of the Oakland Alameda Access Project.

Nightly Posey Tube Closures - This Week
Tuesday, January 27 to Friday, January 30
Full Closure: 11:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Work includes removing parts of the roadway, installing new drainage pipes, and repairing concrete.

Please note that one tube will always remain open.
