The City of Simi Valley and Ventura County Waterworks District No. 8 (City/District) have released the 2025 Annual Water Quality Report (AWQR), also known as the Consumer Confidence Report. The report confirms that the drinking water supplied to approximately 68 percent of Simi Valley households, businesses, and institutions, as well as portions of unincorporated Ventura County, met or exceeded all state and federal water quality standards throughout 2025.
"Clean, safe drinking water is essential to the health and quality of life in our community," said Waterworks District No. 8 Chair Dee Dee Cavanaugh. "The City of Simi Valley remains committed to delivering safe, reliable drinking water, investing in resilient infrastructure, and responsibly planning for our community's future water needs."
The report summarizes water quality testing conducted between January and December 2025. It includes detailed information about substances detected in the City/District's treated drinking water and how those levels compare to the standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board.
The AWQR also provides customers with information about their drinking water sources, water quality testing results, compliance with federal and state drinking water regulations, and practical steps they can take to help protect local water resources.
This report is published annually, as required by the EPA, to keep the public informed about the quality of their drinking water. It reflects the City/District's commitment to transparency and accountability in providing safe and reliable water to the community.
Customers receive a notice on their monthly water bill with information on how to view the annual report. The 2025 AWQR can be viewed online at www.simivalley.org/WQR, can be requested in print by calling (805) 583-6469, or picked up in person at the Simi Valley Public Library or the City Hall front counter during normal business hours.
