Tigirlily Gold 's Krista Slaubaugh and Walker Montgomery said "I do" in a stunning wedding fit for two country artists.
The newlyweds spoke about their "elevated western" wedding - with a "black-tie western" dress code - with PEOPLE in a story published on Tuesday (October 27). The couple tied the knot in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, outside of Nashville, on Friday (October 23). Slaughbaugh, 28, shared that she and Montgomery, 27, began the morning with a private exchange of their vows over coffee, prioritizing their one-on-one time amid busy work schedules. They later shared traditional vows during the ceremony, officiated by Rev. Holly Fuqua. The newlyweds played George Strat's "Blue Clear Sky" at their ceremony, and played James Bonamy's "I Don't Think I Will" for their first dance.
"I love that Walker always makes me extremely safe and protected," Krista told PEOPLE. "He is honest and respects and supports me chasing my dreams. He is also extremely funny and he is truly the one person in this world who I can't get enough of. He is an extremely strong and smart human, and we make each other better people every single day. We love to travel and make memories together, but more importantly we enjoy everyday life the most."
Montgomery, whose father is country star John Michael Montgomery, added to the outlet, "Krista's joyful and optimistic outlook on almost every situation. She puts me in a good mood and she is my best friend. She puts me in a good mood and she is my best friend."
Montgomery popped the question in May 2025 during a surprise trip to North Carolina. Slaughbaugh, half of Tigirlily Gold with sister Kendra Slaughbaugh, told PEOPLE she was "overwhelmed in the best way. …You wait for that moment your whole life, and I just wanted to remember and soak it in as much as possible."
