The City of Livonia hosts a warming center at the Kirksey Recreation Center for residents looking for refuge from the cold. Residents may use the facility as a warming center during its operating hours. The Rec hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays; 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

All recreation areas of the facility will be off-limits for emergency shelter users, including the pools, gymnasiums, climbing wall and fitness hub. Those who need shelter will also be asked to agree to a code of conduct while using the site.
