City Of Las Vegas To Dedicate New Mural
At Mirabelli Community Center

Thursday, Dec. 18, 12:15 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the dedication of a new public mural by artist Matt "Black 57" Murphy on the Mirabelli Community Center, located at 6200 Hargrove Ave., Thursday, Dec. 18, at 12:15 p.m. Commissioned by the city of Las Vegas, the mural is entitled "Find Your Wings," and covers approximately 2,313 square feet with acrylic paint on the stucco exterior of the center.

Director of Cultural Affairs Maggie Plaster, Mayor Pro Tem Brian Knudsen and the artist are expected to speak at the ceremony. Attendees are invited to enjoy free parking, refreshments and an afternoon celebrating creativity. The event is open to the public.

"Find Your Wings" celebrates the Mirabelli Community Center's mission to help kids discover their potential through extracurricular classes like karate, cooking and ballet. Set above a Vegas skyline and desert landscape, the mural symbolizes children learning, growing and finding the wings to soar in life.
