WAYNESBORO - Reps. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin), Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) and Rich Irvin (R-Franklin/Huntingdon) will host an Ag Breakfast next month to bring together farmers, agricultural professionals, agribusiness leaders and residents, including those working across the broader agriculture and food systems, to discuss issues impacting Pennsylvania agriculture.
The free event will take place on Tuesday, April 7, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., at the Marion Volunteer Fire Company, 5465 Molly Pitcher Highway South, Chambersburg.
"Agriculture plays a vital role in our local economy and way of life," the three lawmakers said. "This breakfast is an opportunity for farmers and community members to connect directly with state leaders, hear the latest updates affecting the industry and share their perspectives."
Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding is the keynote speaker and will offer updates on the state's agriculture industry and discuss challenges and opportunities facing farmers across the Commonwealth.
"Agriculture remains Pennsylvania's top industry, and maintaining open communication with the people who feed and fuel our communities is essential," the lawmakers said. "We encourage our valued farmers to join us for this informative morning."
There is no cost to attend; however, RSVP is required. Residents may RSVP by calling 717-749-7384, or going online to RepReichard.com, RepKauffman.com or RepIrvin.com.
