WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced the processes to submit Community Project Funding (CPF) and Federal Appropriations requests for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027.
Community Project Funding (CPF) Requests in FY27
"The Community Project Funding process helps ensure that Congress, not just bureaucrats, steer federal resources and project priorities," said Congressman Flood. "In each budget, I work to ensure local communities secure critical federal funding and invest directly in the projects that matter most for growing Nebraska."
Guidance from the House Appropriations Committee has not yet been issued for FY27. However, guidance from previous fiscal years may be used as a reference and can be found here.
Sponsors must demonstrate the merits of their projects by completing the form here. In addition, sponsors must submit a demonstration of community support. Submissions should be sent to [email protected].
The submission deadline is Monday, March 9th, 2026 at 6pm ET. This deadline is subject to change upon the issuance of FY27 guidance.
Programmatic & Language Requests in FY27
"Members of the U.S. House are able to submit requests for inclusion in the annual appropriations bills," said Congressman Flood. "Because the number of requests to Appropriations is limited, our office gets an early start on obtaining, developing, and prioritizing these requests for submission."
Programmatic requests are an opportunity to request specific funding levels for federal programs that are important to you or your organization. Language requests are an opportunity to requests specific bill or report language that does not direct funding to a particular entity but encourages, urges, or directs some type of action. The submission form can be found by clicking here.
All requests are due to the office by Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6pm ET. This deadline is subject to change upon the issuance of FY27 guidance.
For any questions related to the appropriations process and these programs, please call Congressman Flood's Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-4806.
