Iceland signs an extension agreement for a collaboration project with NATO's Kosovo Force Command (KFOR)

Representatives from the Directorate of Defence of the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Icelandic Transport Authority and from KFOR Command

Jónas G. Allanson, Director General of the Defence Directorate at Iceland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs, recently signed an extension agreement for a collaboration project with NATO's Kosovo Force Command (KFOR), valid until the end of 2028. The project was first established in its current form in 2020, at NATO's request. Iceland has, however, supported Kosovo in airspace and civil aviation operations and in other areas for a long time. The Icelandic Transport Authority runs the project on behalf of Iceland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

This cooperation provides great value for Kosovo's civil aviation affairs and serves as a valuable contribution from Iceland to NATO.
