The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Burger, a Kinesiology - Exercise and Sport Studies major at Tarleton State, finished her collegiate career with All-WAC Second Team honors with (Doubles). The four-time WAC Doubles Player of the Week winner came up with an 11-5 doubles record and a 2-0 singles record, competing primarily at the No. 1 doubles spot. Pairing with Persson, Burger co-led the Texans' doubles teams with 10 wins to help Tarleton State clinch the doubles point in 70% of the matches they played in.
The Ashton, South Africa, native was named Academic All-WAC as a junior and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Burger played two seasons at Liberty before arriving in Stephenville, being named to the ASUN Academic Honor Roll.
Mukhutdinova, Kinesiology - Exercise and Sport Studies major at Tarleton State, a posted a 13-5 singles record en route to earning All-WAC Second Team Honors in 2025. She had six bagels (6-0) sets and a double bagel on Jan. 25 and became the first Texan to bagel a Power 4 opponent since 2023 (April 6 at #63 SMU). Mukhutdinova was also named September WAC Singles Player of the Month in 2024.
The 2024 Academic All-WAC honoree arrived in Stephenville last season after transferring from UTSA. She capped off her freshman season in San Antonio with a Conference USA Academic Medal.
Under head coach in five years at the Division I level, Tarleton State has won the WAC Coach of the Year award, the WAC Player of the Year award, the WAC Freshman of the Year award twice, and 18 All-Conference honors (eight Singles All-WAC First Team, one Doubles All-WAC First Team, seven Singles All-WAC Second Team, two Doubles All-WAC Second Team). The Texans have also earned 47 midseason monthly or weekly awards (four Singles Player of the Month, one Doubles Team of the Month, 20 Singles Player of the Week, and 22 Doubles Team of the Week).
