MALAYSIA STRONGLY CONDEMNS AND REJECTS THE ZIONIST ISRAELI REGIME'S PLAN

TO SEIZE 70 PER CENT OF THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORY OF GAZA

Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the recently announced plan by the Zionist Israeli regime to seize and expand its control over 70 per cent of the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist regime's move is illegal and politically unacceptable. It is yet another egregious violation by the regime of international law, the United Nations Charter, as well as numerous United Nations Security Council and General Assembly resolutions.

Malaysia calls upon the international community and the United Nations to reject unequivocally and challenge the Zionist Israeli regime's plan. Gaza has long been an integral part of the Palestinian Territory even before the creation of Israel. Any move by the regime to alter Gaza's territorial reality will lead to further blatant injustices and exacerbate the already volatile peace in the region.

The people of Gaza continue to suffer because of the Zionist Israeli regime's genocide and destruction in Gaza. Any annexation of the Palestinian land and living space cannot be justified under any pretext whatsoever. Instead, it only reflects clearly an evil and calculated intention of the regime to deprive the Palestinian people of their legitimate and inalienable rights, including their right to an independent and sovereign state on their own Territory of West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

Malaysia reiterates its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, and reaffirms its longstanding support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
