MONDAY, October 26
10:00 a.m. - Boards & Commissions Interviews
The Board will interview county residents for vacant seats on County Boards & Commissions.

12:30 p.m. - Weekly Work Session
The Board will meet with county leadership to discuss emerging issues, identify and align upcoming priorities, coordinate communications, and determine the appropriate venue for future board discussions. An agenda for this meeting is posted at: https://www.lpcgov.org/meetings

6:00 p.m. - Work Session Dinner with the Southern Ute Tribal Council
The Board and county staff will host a dinner work session with the Southern Ute Tribal Council to discuss topics of mutual interest.

TUESDAY, October 27
8:00 a.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

1. For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Collective Bargaining by County Employees Act, CRS § 8-3.3-101 et seq.
2. Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e).
   Purpose: Negotiations with the Fraternal Order of Police.

10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting

2. Proclamation of November 4-11 2026 as Operation Green Light for Veterans

The Board will consider:

1. Approval of County Cash Requirements October 9, 2026 through October 16, 2026.

3. Approval of a letter of support for Durango Fire Protection District's Community Wildfire Defense Grant Application.
4. Approval of job description and goals and selection procedures and timeline for recruitment and selection of La Plata County Manager.
5. Consideration of a change of ownership for Rocky Mountain Liquors, LLC.
6. Consideration of the renewal of a retail liquor store license for Rocky Mountain Liquors, LLC.

Members of the Board will meet with a new staff writer from the Durango Herald.

THURSDAY, October 29
8:30 a.m. - 2027 Proposed Budget Meetings
The Board will meet with the District Attorney's Office to discuss the proposed 2027 County Budget. The proposed budget can be viewed on the county website or directly at https://lpcgov.org/proposed-budget.

4:00 p.m. - Meet and Greet with DHM Design and Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO)
The Board will attend a happy hour and meet-and-greet with the DHM team and others working to support outdoor recreation and community projects. The event will be held at the Smiley Building Rooftop Patio, located at 1309 E. 3^rd Avenue in Durango.

FRIDAY, October 30
11:30 a.m. - Commissioner Porter-Norton's Community Office Hours
Commissioner Porter-Norton will host call-in Community Office Hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to call 970-382-6215 during these times to discuss any topics of interest or concern.
