Kansas City is excited to announce that applications for the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund (NTDF) are now open for the 2026-2027 Annual Grant Cycle. This cycle awards funding for events located in Kansas City taking place
May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027. The application period opens Monday, December 8, 2025, at 8:00 AM and closes Friday, January 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The NTDF program promotes Kansas City's neighborhoods through cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational, and recreational activities while positioning Kansas City as a premier convention, visitor, and tourist destination.

said Forest Decker, Director of Neighborhood Services. "We're proud to support events that celebrate Kansas City and attract visitors to our community."
Eligible projects must be open to Kansas City, Missouri, residents and attract visitors from outside the city limits. Examples include:

Applicant Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a not-for-profit neighborhood organization incorporated in the State of Missouri with a physical address located within Kansas City limits

Be in good standing with the State of Missouri and the City of Kansas City, Missouri

Demonstrate encouragement of broad-based citizen input and participation
