SIUE standouts Stefaniya Anikina and Marguax Guibal Britt have been selected as the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
The Cougar duo were 6-1 winners Saturday in SIUE's OVC opener against Tennessee State. They defeated Natalie Walsh and Julie Tungamarial in the No. 1 doubles match to help lead the Cougars to a 7-0 sweep over the Tigers.
Anikina and Guibal Britt shared the honor with Western Illinois' Mana Fawcett and Jessica Hess.
SIUE returns to action Sunday for a 1 p.m. road match at OVC rival Southeast Missouri.
