One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

Mariposa County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Shilling Road to Buckhorn Fire Road for utility work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Hirsch Road to Wass Road East for utility work on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

State Route 132

  • One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Horseshoe Bend to State Route 49 / Coulterville for utility work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from Colorado Road to Crane Creek for embankment work beginning Sunday, March 22, through Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from South Incline Road to Foresta Road for barrier installation work beginning Wednesday, March 25, through Thursday, March 26, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, March 27, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
