DGA Statement on Arkansas GOP Primary's Results

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Sarah Huckabee Sanders becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Arkansas:

"Under Sarah Huckabee Sanders' leadership, rural hospitals are closing, costs are too high for businesses and workers, and quality, affordable health care is out of reach for too many. Instead of fighting for Arkansas' working families, Sanders has tried to make the governor's office less transparent, earned bipartisan scrutiny for abusing taxpayer money, and engaged in divisive political stunts. Arkansans deserve a governor who will fight for them - yet Sanders is just another politician more interested in scoring points than building an Arkansas that works for everyone."
