Greensboro Police Department Increases Downtown Patrol Presence

The Greensboro Police Department (GPD) continues to maintain a dedicated patrol presence in downtown Greensboro through its Center City Resource Team (CCRT), a unit focused specifically on safety and service within the downtown area.

The CCRT consists of two patrol squads with a total of 18 officers who rotate schedules to provide a near-constant law enforcement presence downtown. These officers respond to calls for service, and support a safe environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.

GPD continues to strengthen its downtown presence by adding three additional officers assigned to the CCRT this week. The department is enhancing visibility and maintaining a consistent presence downtown.

GPD remains committed to proactive patrol and collaboration with community partners. This further solidifies the City's commitment to our downtown community.
