Residents and motorists can expect to hear significant nighttime noise between the Cesar Chavez Exit and U.S. 101/I-280 split

San Francisco County ― Caltrans is making progress on its rehabilitation work on the U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve) from Candlestick Point Recreation Area to 16th Avenue as part of the Fab 4 Rehabilitation Project in San Francisco.

Beginning this week from Tuesday, June 2 through Tuesday, June 9, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., crews are completing the demolition and removal of the U.S. 101 median barrier. This work requires use of a jackhammer to remove segments of the concrete barrier. The U.S. 101 southbound lane (far left lane) will be closed during this work. Residents and motorists, particularly those near the Cesar Chavez exit at the U.S. 101/I 280 split, should expect significant noise during the demolition operations.

Motorists should proceed cautiously through work zones. For more information about this project and the Fab 4 Rehabilitation Project, visit sfhighwayprojects.com.
