DMACC to Host Commencement Ceremonies This Week Across Central Iowa

It's a celebratory week throughout the DMACC district as the college celebrates the achievements of graduating students - starting Wednesday evening with the Metro Commencement Ceremony, where a sea of 1,200 students in DMACC-blue caps and gowns will flood the Casey's Center in downtown Des Moines.

On Friday, graduating Bears will walk the stage to receive their diplomas at DMACC's Boone Campus and Carroll Campus.

About 1,500 total graduates are expected to participate in the ceremonies, which represent students who completed or will complete coursework in the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 terms.

Among this year's graduates are 185 high school students who have earned their Associate of Arts degrees through DMACC's Career Advantage program - a record-breaking number that continues to grow each year (137 in 2025, 106 in 2024 and 80 in 2023).

The ceremonies are free of charge, and no tickets are required.
