Aggravated Assault - Aug. 4, 2026

Dunwoody, GA - August 5, 2026 - On August 4, Officers were dispatched to the Drift Apartments at the listed address in reference to an armed person call. Upon arrival, officers determined the incident stemmed from a minor private-property vehicle crash in the parking deck. One vehicle was driven by a female, and the other was occupied by Jalen Wade.

After the collision, all parties began arguing. Jalen's brother, Andrew Wade-Bell, heard the argument and came to the scene. The female driver contacted her boyfriend, later identified as Leonardo Dismukes, who arrived on scene and joined the argument with Andrew and Jalen. The verbal dispute escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, a firearm fell from Leonardo's pants. His girlfriend picked up the gun after it fell. When the fight ended, Leonardo took the firearm back from his girlfriend and fired five shots at Jalen as he ran away. Jalen was struck in the foot.

Leonardo was detained, interviewed, and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

Jalen and Andrew were charged with simple assault for their roles in the fight prior to the shooting. Andrew was transported to the DeKalb County Jail. Jalen was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. After receiving medical attention, he will be transported to DeKalb County Jail.
