The Office of Human Rights, in partnership with the Iowa Office of Civil Rights, invites community members to attend an informational program on how civil rights are enforced at the local and state levels in Iowa.
This session will provide an overview of how the two agencies operate, highlighting both their similarities and key differences. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of each agency's role and the legal protections in place to address discrimination and promote equal opportunity across Iowa.
The program is designed for community members, advocates, service providers, employers, and anyone interested in learning more about civil rights enforcement at the local and state levels. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from both offices and ask questions.
