The Trust Team Welcomes Two Editors

Chloe will join us this fall as an assistant Trust editor, coming from the newsroom's Audience team in London. She will take on a new role aimed at deepening engagement with both our audience and non-audience, including Times skeptics and critics, chiefly by developing an off-platform strategy for our work and a system for assessing reader questions and delivering feedback at scale.

Chloe brings formidable skills to the task. From London, she has promoted and explained our journalism on a wide range of coverage across social platforms: the 2024 U.S. election results, the wars in Gaza and Iran, the appointments of two British prime ministers, two Olympic Games in Europe and more. She also worked closely with the London Video team to stand up a new workflow to more quickly capitalize on trends, which resulted in some high-performing videos, including our most-viewed TikTok video .

"Chloe is just the kind of editor you want on your team," said Anna Dubenko, the newsroom's Audience director. "She thinks across mediums and platforms, identifying opportunities and giving her colleagues sharp edits that make our framing better and help our journalism travel further."

Chloe studied English and journalism at the University of Pennsylvania and joined The Times in 2017 as an intern on the Growth team, returning full time the following year. While on the business side, she received a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She received a Pulitzer traveling fellowship, awarded to top members of the graduating class, which she spent reporting on maternal mental health care in Britain. Her reporting culminated in a narrative feature on postpartum psychosis for Well that was selected as a Great Read and ran on A1. Chloe has also freelanced for several desks, including Well and International .

Raised on Long Island, Chloe is excited to return to her 516 area code after a few years of WhatsApp-ing from a +44 number - and, of course, reintegrating what used to be the N.Y.C. dollar slice into her weeknight rotation. In her spare time, she enjoys taking park runs (punctuated by stops to pet strangers' dogs), thrift shopping and hosting dinners.
