Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo Attends Mid-Autumn Festival Gala Held by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Brunei

On 9 October, H.E. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo was invited to attend the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala held by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Brunei(CCC). The Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Lau How Teck, Chairman of CCC Mr Lim Han Chiong, Chairman of Chinese Enterprices Association in Brunei Dr. Lifeng, as well as representatives from the other local Chinese associations also attended.

Ambassador Xiao extended festive greetings to the business community present, and commended their contributions to deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and promoting friendship between the two countries. He also spoke highly of the efforts made by the Chinese Community in Brunei to realize the full reunificationof China. The Ambassador elaborated on the historical achievements  over the past 76 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China , introduced in-depth the Global Governance Initiative,and expressed the wish to work jointly with Brunei to push forward the advancement of China-Brunei Community with shared future, and also the Community with shared future for Humanity.

Mr Lim Han Chiong stated that the Chamber of Commerce  would further play more active roles as bridges and bonds, engage in more practical cooperation across various fields, and make greater contribution for China-Brunei relations.
