Ernst Raises a Glass to Celebrate Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Becoming Law

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) raised a glass of whole milk to celebrate the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act becoming law.

The bill, cosponsored by Ernst, advanced out of the Senate late last year and will allow whole and 2% milk to be served at school meals, overturning an unnecessary Obama-era restriction.

"I'm udderly thrilled that President Trump is restoring choice for Iowa schools and supporting our Iowa dairy farmers by signing this bill into law," said Ernst. "Now, Iowans can receive the full, nutritious benefits of whole milk and Iowa can continue leading the way in dairy production!"
