President's Message | Fall 2024

Hello there, Richton Park!

From warm summer nights to cooler, breezy days, Fall is officially here. The past season has been awesome - milder in temperature, just perfect for our premier events. Both our House and YourParty Music Fests exceeded way past expectations, and we owe our success to your anticipation, spirit, and willingness to come out and have a great time with us. We are growing in every way, and we couldn't be more excited for our bright future.

I want to take a second to applaud Village Staff for their daily dedication in moving Richton Park forward. We continually strive to make improvements - while at the same time respecting residents' voices, our history of good governance, and having an illustrious vision for brilliance.

Police, Fire, and Public Works keep us safe, sound, and moving. Finance keeps us fiscally responsible. Parks and Rec supplies the community with stellar programming. Community & Economic Development keeps Richton Park on the right path for high business interest, while also holding property owners and landlords ethical and accountable. Together, we raise the bar for citizens, and continue to look to you for your engagement, participation, and feedback.

We are thrilled about the significant activity throughout Richton Park. Needing much attention, roads are being repaired, including Imperial Drive from Cicero to Crescent Way. Town Center redevelopment is full steam ahead, with scheduled demolitions, property and land acquisition, road extensions, and feasibility studies. Let's not forget about the grand openings of "Wisdom Computers," "The Shandelier Room" Banquet Hall, and of course our flagship, Sweet Vegan Bakes coming soon!

As you might have guessed, with so much on the horizon, positivity and progression is in the air. Your Board, myself, and staff remain devoted to the livability and character of our impactful Village. It is our unique community that makes Richton Park a desirable place to call home. At the end of the day, that's all our Village wants to be, a place for you to live your best life.
