Meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and India

On September 28, 2026, a meeting was held in New York between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to Tajikistan-India bilateral relations. In this context, particular emphasis was placed on further strengthening and developing sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade and economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on cooperation between Tajikistan and India within the framework of international and regional organizations.
