Implementing the EU's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive

FRA took part in a workshop for national policymakers on the practical implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

Leading institutions, including NOVA BHRE, the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), KU Leuven, UNDP, and Global Rights Compliance, organised the event. This event brought together national authorities, international organisations and experts to address key challenges in transposing the CSDDD into national law, with a focus on human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD).

Discussions explored core due diligence obligations, practical tools, enforcement mechanisms, policy coherence and access to justice.

The event took place in Lisbon on 8 May.
