State, national and international media frequently feature the University of Wyoming and members of its community in stories. Here is a summary of some of the recent coverage:

In a New York Times article about how an international team of researchers published a major revision of the emissions scenarios used to study global warming, UW environmental economist Matt Burgess says polarization over the issue was fed by an overly defensive response by climate scientists to criticism.

UW's WWAMI Medical Education Program was the focus of a Cowboy State Daily article, which noted that about two-thirds of graduates return to Wyoming after residency and roughly 80 percent of those stay long-term.

The Laramie Boomerang published UW's release about a $20 million gift from Carol and Ramon Tomé to strengthen the existing Tomé Scholars to Fellows Program in the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources while extending the initiative to the College of Business. The gift, one of the largest in UW's history, will create new pathways for student success across disciplines.

The Douglas Budget published UW's release about a plant called Palmer amaranth and other weedy species in the amaranth family and how they pose a growing threat to agricultural operations across the West.
