JACKSON COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation in partnership with Kansas City and Jackson County Parks and Recreation will OPEN the Rock Island Trail on Friday, Feb. 27 (TODAY) at approx. 5 p.m. All work is weather permitting.
The bridge was originally closed in November of 2025 and was replaced with a wider (Class I) railroad bridge over MO 350, near Noland Road and will still serve as a trail bridge as part of the Rock Island Trail.
Trail users may notice minor temporary modifications in the project area as construction on MO 350 continues.
This work is a part of a bigger project that include pavement resurfacing and new turn lanes at MO 350 and Noland Road.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
