Fix Your Face (and Your Attitude)

Monday, August 3, 2026 | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Tracy Boyd, Hamilton County TN E911

How does perception affect us? Perception is reality. "Attitude and body language say way more than your mouth." One person can set the tone for the entire shift. They can have either a positive or negative impact on morale.

How do we change perception? We can change perceptions by interacting with others and by being honest with ourselves and our coworkers. Perception can be influenced by focusing on what you can change as opposed to what you can't. For example, if it is too dark, turn on a light!

"The only thing we can control is ourselves, our response, our attitudes and our actions," noted the speaker. You must hold yourself accountable for any perceived misconceptions. Sometimes, it's not just what we say. Sometimes it's written all over our face. Fix your face (and your attitude)!
