Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Pays Courtesy Call on Maldivian Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu

On June16th, H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua, Ambassador of China to the Maldives, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, Minister of Education of the Maldives.

Ambassador Kong stated that education is vital to national development and a top priority for the country. China is willing to work with the Maldives to accelerate the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of education, promote people-to-people exchanges, and jointly build a China-Maldives community with a shared future.

Minister Shafeeu welcomed Ambassador Kong's assumption of office in the Maldives, highly praised Maldives-China relations, and expressed gratitude for China's longstanding valuable support for the country's development. He also expressed admiration for China's remarkable achievements in science and education, and expressed readiness to work with China to further strengthen cooperation in education and inject lasting momentum into the friendly partnership between the two countries.
