Secretary Hegseth to Host Honor Cordon and Meeting with Indonesian Minister of Defense, April 13

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth will host an enhanced honor cordon and meeting welcoming Minister of Defense for Indonesia Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin to the Pentagon on Monday, April 13, at 10:15 a.m. on the steps of the River Entrance.

All journalists desiring to cover the arrival ceremony must RSVP to Pentagon Press Operations at [email protected] with their name and outlet by 5 p.m. today, Friday, April 10. You will receive a follow-up confirming whether your request has been accepted or whether additional information is needed. Please ensure you have received confirmation before arriving.

Journalists must obtain a wristband from security screening at the base of the River Entrance Pedestrian Bridge.

Security screening will begin at approximately 8:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:45. Arrivals after 9:45 will not be allowed. Journalists must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.

A selection of journalists will be authorized to cover the meeting's opening remarks in addition to the honor cordon. Selections are limited due to room size, and personal electronic devices will not be authorized in the meeting room. Those who are selected to capture the top of the meeting must have a stand-alone camera (that is not their phone).
