2025 Smokey Bear, Woodsy Owl poster contest voting now open

WASHINGTON, D.C.- It's that time of the year: Vote now to select the national grand prize winner of the 2025 Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest.

Select among the five options using this form.

Voting is open through May 9.

Select your favorite poster using the following criteria:

  • Includes Smokey's prevention message: "Only you can prevent wildfires" or one of Woodsy's messages: "Give a hoot, don't pollute" or "Lend a hand, care for the land"

  • Encourages children to prevent wildfires

  • Has a bold and simple design

  • Delivers understandable message in the picture and in text

Posters should be judged on originality, design, slogan, artwork and overall message effectiveness. Vote now!

The National Garden Clubs has sponsored the poster contest every year since 1959.
