Ideaship, a venture capital firm by Global Technology Transfer Group, has invested in Hemex Health to support the advancement of affordable, rapid diagnostic technologies designed to improve access to healthcare worldwide.
"Hemex Health is a first mover and pioneer in blood-related testing," said Michael Lubitz. "Their platform, design expertise, and inventive brilliance are well known. Patti and Peter have built an exceptional company and are now at an important growth inflection point where Ideaship's patent and business expertise can help support their next phase of expansion."
Founded by Patti White and Peter Galen, Hemex Health developed Gazelle, a portable point-of-care diagnostic platform capable of rapidly detecting hemoglobin-related conditions such as sickle cell disease and iron deficiency with laboratory-level accuracy in approximately eight minutes.
Operating in more than 40 countries, Hemex Health is helping expand access to critical diagnostic testing in low-resource and remote settings through scalable, affordable healthcare technology.
