On March 27, the Vanderbilt University and Morgan Stanley community stakeholders gathered for a thought-provoking discussion led by celebrity chef Rachael Ray and Anna Francese Gass.

The conversation highlighted the impact of uniting dynamic leaders with academic excellence, mentorship and connectivity through impactful personal and professional opportunities.

"I was so deeply moved to see two women supporting and admiring each other. What a wonderful example to all women," said attendee Vanessa July, services delivery leader, SLED East at Google (Public Sector). "It's so sweet to see how small interactions can grow into lifelong friendship and mentorship."

Attendees were encouraged to engage with Commodore Compass, Vanderbilt's new mentorship platform, and to work with the university's alumni, corporate partners and community stakeholders to strengthen Vanderbilt's presence in the New York market.

The Vanderbilt University Corporate Partnerships team, led by Regional Director Andrea M. DiMarco, oversaw planning and execution for this inaugural event. More than 60 people attended, representing eight industries: finance, technology, retail, consumer goods, education, research, entertainment, health care and consulting.

"The openness of the staff, hosts and speakers created a truly special and intimate event," July said. "Thank you so much for including me and my guest."

Vanderbilt University and Morgan Stanley are committed to prioritizing mentorship, women's empowerment and the cultivation of strong relationships within their communities and beyond.
