Public Hearing: Housing Choice Voucher Annual Plan and Administrative Plan

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Charles County Government will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 9 a.m. to obtain citizen comments concerning the Housing Choice Voucher Annual Plan and Administrative Plan. The public hearing will be held at the Charles County Department of Community Services, 8190 Port Tobacco Road, Port Tobacco Maryland 20677.

The Charles County Department of Community Services serves as the County's Housing Authority (HA) and administers the tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher Program. The Annual Plan and Administrative Plan include information on the HA's Housing Choice Voucher Program. Copies of the draft plans are available for review by calling 301-934-0130 or emailing [email protected] and are also available on the County's website at https://www.CharlesCountyMD.gov.

Each speaker will be allotted three minutes. The hearing will end no later than two hours from commencement. Written comments may also be submitted to the Charles County Department of Community Services, Housing Authority, at 8190 Port Tobacco Road, Port Tobacco, Maryland 20677 by April 8, 2026 in lieu of oral testimony or to expand upon oral testimony. Comments may also be emailed by April 8, 2026 to [email protected].
