If adopted, the proposed Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) announced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on November 30, 2023, will require most water systems to replace lead service lines within 10 years.

Using the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority's initiative to inventory and replace lead service lines, Govelovich outlines ways water systems can strategically replace lead service lines and capitalize on available funding.
