How to Watch: Bobcats host Stephen F. Austin for FCS quarterfinals

BOZEMAN - Postseason football remains in Bozeman this week, as the Montana State Bobcats host Stephen F. Austin on Friday night under the lights for the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) quarterfinals.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Bobcat Stadium. With their No. 2 national seed, the Bobcats earned home field advantage through the FCS semifinals. The winner of Friday's game will advance to those semifinals, where they will play the winner of the quarterfinal game between the No. 3 ranked Montana Grizzlies and No. 11 South Dakota Coyotes, which is set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. MSU held off Yale for their second-round win on Dec. 6 after Yale pulled off a 30-point comeback the previous week against Youngstown State. The Bobcats advanced by a score of 21-13.

Stephen F. Austin, ranked No. 7 in the FCS, won a close game against No. 10 Abilene Christian to book their date with the Bobcats. That second-round game saw seven lead changes before the Lumberjacks pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 41-34.

With their win over rival Montana on Nov. 22, the Bobcats earned the Big Sky Conference title and the conference's only automatic bid to the playoffs. It is the third time in the past four seasons that MSU has ended the regular season as conference champion. Fans have several options to attend the game, stream it or listen live.

Fans interested in purchasing tickets can check availability online at montanastate.evenue.net or by calling the Bobcat Ticket Office at 406-994-2287. Tickets for the public are currently on sale, and MSU student tickets will become available at noon on Monday, Dec. 8.
