ATLANTA (August 19, 2026) - Sen. Billy Hickman (R-Statesboro) has been appointed to the Audit and Financial Management Advisory Committee (AFMAC) of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) by SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler.
The four-member committee provides independent advice and recommendations to the SBA on financial management, internal controls, audit findings, risk management and related oversight matters. AFMAC supports the agency's efforts to improve operational efficiency and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
"I am truly grateful for the honor of being appointed to the Audit and Financial Management Advisory Committee," said Sen. Hickman. Sen. Hickman brings decades of business experience to the committee. As a certified public accountant with a certification in financial forensics, he is a partner at Dabbs, Hickman, Hill, and Cannon, LLP, and has made his career in accounting and financial planning.
