Agg. Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

(PEORIA, IL) On Sunday, September 7, 2025, at approximately 10:48 a.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of W. Ann on a report of an argument and shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult female who reported that the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Raymond L. Miller, discharged two rounds inside the residence during an argument. No injuries were reported. Miller then took the victim's vehicle and fled the scene before the police arrived.

A short time later, the vehicle driven by Miller was located on Route 9 in Bartonville. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a weapon inside. Miller was then taken into custody without further incident.

Miller was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Interference with the Report of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Vehicle Hijacking, Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a FOID Card, Criminal Damage to Property, and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.

He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
