Police responded to a report of larceny under false pretense on the 400 block of Cardinal Medeiros Ave. The reporting party stated that they received a phone call on their business line from an individual stating they were doing fire inspections. The individual then stated that the owner had sent checks to pay for new equipment but they weren't valid. The individual had the reporting party withdraw $1400 as payment.

While on patrol, officers observed three individuals trespassing on the 0 block of Inman St. Officers approached the group and attempted to identify them. One of the individuals gave a false name. An investigation revealed the real identity of the individual and revealed an outstanding warrant from Middlesex Superior court. Officers placed John Busher, 45, unhoused, under arrest for Trespassing, Giving a False Name after Arrest, and an outstanding warrant. The other individuals will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Trespassing.

Police responded to a report of trespassing on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party claims an individual who had been previously trespassed had locked themselves in the restroom and was refusing to leave. Further investigation revealed that earlier in the day, the individual had also taken tip money from a tip jar. As a result, Jordan Kimathi, 24, unhoused was placed under arrest for Trespassing and Larceny from a Building.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party claims that the suspect had soda, chips, and candy valued at $24. Officers located the suspect, returned the goods to the business. The individual, a Cambridge resident, will be summonsed for Shoplifting by Asportation.

Police responded to a report of bicycle theft on the 0 block of Tufts St. The reporting party claims that they had locked their bicycle, valued at $850, to a fence outside their home. Upon returned the lock had been cut and the bicycle was stolen.
