Resilience Plan Community Meeting

Chemung County is inviting the public to help shape a more resilient and vibrant future for our community.
The County Planning Department is developing a Resilience Plan to guide our preparation for change, protection of shared resources, and investmentin long-term strength and well-being. Chemung County is renowned for its strong communities, deep roots, and spirit of collaboration. As we face evolving challenges, such as increased flooding, aging infrastructure, and pressure on public services, we have an opportunity to plan thoughtfully and collaborate.
An upcoming Community Meeting will invite the public to share their input on the focus areas and measures of the draft Resiliency Plan. The event will take place on September 16 at Meals on Wheels (409 William St, Elmira, NY 14901), starting at 5:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, and all are encouraged to attend.
